S.O.S. Portable Toilets The racing season was finally able to begin at Mid-Nebr Speedway after "Mother Nature" delayed the action for three weeks. Grand National driver Les Siebert wasted no time as he took the lead from the pole position in the first heat of the night and continued for the win. Tom Kubicka finished in second with rookie Tyler Andreasen third and Dave Cook was fourth. Robert Leonard won heat number two. Jarred Hackler finished second as Josh Leonard and Ty Leonard rounded out the top four. IMCA Sport Mod driver Herb Slough controlled the first of two heat races in his division with a win in heat number one. Josh Pfiefer was second followed by Denny Egge and Randi Weaver. Chad Dolan dominated the second heat for the win. Darick Lamberson was second followed by Kyle Vohland and Josh Halte. Branden Stange took the early lead in the first of two IMCA Hobby Stock heat races but lost control with two laps remaining and had to restart at the rear after spinning in turn four. Michael Zerr took the lead at that point and the win. Jerry Barribo finished second with Travis Burger third and Stange was fourth. Caleb Hetrick took the lead from Will Sisson on lap two of the second heat race and continued for the win. Dillon Thompson moved up for second with Sisson in third and fourth went to rookie Joel Donaldson. Nine Awards Plus Happy Hornet drivers were in competition for the opening night. Tyler Barribo took the early lead in the heat race and continued to lead until the final lap as Darrell Fieldgrove powered into the front for the win. Barribo finished second with Denise Williams in third and fourth went to Alex Rodewald. Erik Nelson utilized his pole position in the Happy Hornet feature as he jumped into the lead as the green flag started the race. Nelson continued to lead for the win. Darrell Fieldgrove moved up to finish in second with Tyler Barribo third and fourth went to Alex Rodewald. IMCA Hobby Stock driver Branden Stange dominated their A-feature race for the win. Dillon Thompson moved up to finish in second place with Michael Zerr third and fourth went to Russ Specht. The IMCA Northern Sport Mod is a new class for the 2013 racing season at Mid-Nebr Speedway.
