News- Not operating in 2014

Press Release by Brad Fossberg

A Hall County entertainment business that's been family owned for the past 18 years is being put up for sale. Doug and Nancy Stange announced this week that they will not operate Mid-Nebr Speedway in 2014 and the track is on the market. Doug Stange said the track has been a great business venture but they are thinking about slowing down a bit and heading for retirement and think now is the time for someone else to take over ownership of the track.

He said the business remains strong with a good group of racers and fans continuing to support the track. The Stange's have operated the track for longer than any other promoter in the history of the facility which dates back to 1973. Stange said now is the right time to step aside as it may take a year or two to acclimate the next owner to the ins and outs of operating a stock car track.

He said they would like to thank all those who have supported the track over the years and are extremely proud to have raced under the banner of IMCA the last 2 decades.
